Revised Peak Permit Fees

Namaste and warm greetings from Nepal.

 

We are very, very happy to announce that all our efforts have been successful and Nepal Government has announced heavy reductions on all the Mountaineering Peak Permit Fees for the permitted Himalayan peaks in Nepal WITH EFFECT FROM 16 JULY 2008.

 

This is truly great news. It will benefit the people of Nepal by increasing tourism. Of course, it is also very encouraging news for ambitious and aspiring mountaineers and climbers of the world by increasing access to some of the greatest mountains in the world.

 

The revisions reflect a reduction of 50% during the Autumn season, and 75% for the Summer and Winter seasons including Mt. Everest.

 

The Nepal Government has also announced waiver of permit fees for FIVE YEARS effective from 16 July 2008 for all peaks in the Mid-West and Far West Nepal.
